Building, HWY 129 TN 2009 © jwlIt dawned on me the other day how my process for making art is very much the same as fishing. I engage in both activities for much the same reasons. I am actively engaged in something while being thoughtful and aware of the world around me. Both activities become a way to have dialog with my surroundings. There's also the fact that every time I go out to do either I don't always get anything to take home.
This image will be the first of a new batch of blog images. I took this on the road toward Chilhowee for fishing yesterday. I see nothing wrong with combining two of my favorite activities.
